Our next meeting takes place on Tuesday 5th May when our speaker will be Loretta from Defiant Sports. Defiant Sport offer access to sport for many who otherwise would not be able to do so. All welcome.

Quiz Night
Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday for the Quiz Night in the hall. It was lovely to be joined by our friends from St. Wilfred's Church and a good time was had by all. We raised just over £300 for MU.

On Wednesday 6th May from 10am to 12 noon there is Pop-In in the church hall , as usual since it is the first Wednesday in the month. Then after Pop-In session ends at 12 noon, until 1pm we will offer light refreshments. This will make it easy for Pop In people to stay at the church hall for the FRS event.

From 12.30 until 2pm we will have our guests from the Fire & Rescue Service in the church hall offering HOME VISITS TO ADVISE ON SAFETY ISSUES. They can give advice on precautions and protection relating to fire risks at home. They do free home visits by appointment. This event is open to the public, so feel free to bring a neighbour or friend to meet the FRS team. We probably all know people who might be at higher risk from a house fire, either because they would not hear the fire alarm at night, or they might have difficulty quickly leaving the building, or they have some other problem in responding to an emergency. Especially for those who live alone, it is important to think in advance about any precautions one might take.

A free visit from an expert helps one to be well-prepared.
