Mothers’ Union is a women-led, international Christian movement dedicated to ending poverty, violence and social injustice in communities in the UK and around the world. Active for 150 years, with over 4 million members in approximately 84 countries, we work for the advancement of the Christian Religion in the sphere of marriage and Christian family life, transforming lives, strengthening families and communities, and advocating for meaningful change. Rooted in kindness, faith and compassionate action, we strive to create a better future where everyone has the opportunity and resources to thrive.

The Objects

1. To uphold Christ's teaching on the nature of marriage and to promote wider understanding.
2. To encourage parents to bring up their children in the faith and life of the Church.
3. To maintain world-wide fellowship of Christians united in prayer, worship and service.
4. To promote conditions in society favourable to stable family life and the protection of children.
5. To help those whose family life has met with adversity.
