What is Holy Communion?

Holy Communion (also called The Eucharist or The Lord’s Supper) has been at the heart of Christian worship for 2,000 years. In this moment, we remember God’s love shown through Jesus, receive forgiveness, and are nourished by his presence as we share bread and wine.

If you are baptised and love Jesus, you are welcome.

Join the line, hold out your hands to receive the bread (“The body of Christ, broken for you”), and respond “Amen” if you wish.

Receive the wine (“The blood of Christ, shed for you”).

Return to your seat for quiet reflection.

If you’re new or not baptised you are very welcome to come forward for a blessing. Simply keep your hands down or crossed over your chest. You may also wish to remain seated for prayer and reflection.

Everyone is on their own journey and there is no pressure on you to do anything that makes you uncomfortable.

We normally hold communion services on the 1st Sunday of the month.

Do I need to give money to attend church?

We do not take up an offering during our services but your contributions are very welcome and very much needed to help run our church.

Please use the plate, the Card Reader machine at the back of church or speak to a Churchwarden about regular giving.
