Church Warden
I have been a church warden at St. Johns for about 15 years. I deal with most of the fabric responsibility for the Church building and hall. I'm a landscape gardener by proffesion. I'm married to Yvette and we love to walk the downs and surrounding area with our dog Nada. I love fishing and kayaking in my spare time along with growing my own vegetables in the garden.

I have been part of the St. John's family for over 26 years. Along with Phil I am a Church Warden. Professionally, I work as a Civil Servant, a role that I find both challenging and rewarding. Outside of work, I am a keen cyclist and appreciate the opportunity to explore the Sussex on two wheels. I also enjoy walking in the local area. When I'm not out and about, you may well find me looking after my car, which I like to keep in pristine condition!

I have lived in Polegate all my life and have been part of the St. Johns family for most of it. I have been looking after the office for nearly 20 years. I have a chihuahua called Indi who is nearly 6. She sometimes helps me in the office and loves people apart from Phil our Church Warden!

I am married to Janet and we have 4 adult children, and 9 grandchildren who keep us busy. I have been a reader at St. John's for nearly 40 years. I am a Tractor Boy- for the uninitiated this means I am a follower of Ipswich Town, and get to games whenever I can.

I am married to Maggi and we have recently celebrated our golden wedding anniversary. I am a keen beekeeper and have an interest in small holding, having kept ducks, pigs and chickens. I also enjoy reading and live music, especially jazz. I have been a reader for over 30 years.

I am married to Zilla and we have three sons and five grandchildren. I am a retired teacher and have been a reader since 2010. I love books, my family, the countryside and attempting to paint it.

Sunday Club
I coordinate the team which leads Sunday Club. Sunday Club lets children learn about the Christian faith in a way that is engaging and appropriate for ages 4 - 10. My husband is Hugh and we have three married sons. I love to spend time with them and the grandchildren. I enjoy having coffee with friends, gardening in preference to housework and crafty things.

I moved to Polegate in 2013, I now enjoy being actively involved in the local community. At St John's, I am one of the founding members of Pop In and also belong to the Reading Group. I like books (especially biographies), country walks, knitting, correspondence with friends, visiting relatives and doing jigsaws.

Mothers Union
I retired and moved to Polegate in 2021 which was daunting at first but St John's welcomed me and I settled in quickly. I have led Mothers Union since 2024 and I am keen to put my faith in to action and provide a positive impact for the local community. I love to walk, especially in the beautiful surroundings of Polegate. I also enjoy gardening and reading.
